About

I work with families who are moving through big transitions — separation, migration, identity shifts, co-parenting or simply the quiet weight of holding a family together. I work to create calmer home environments, more supportive daily rhythms, and spaces where both children and caregivers can feel more at ease.

My work is shaped by an understanding that children's behavior is deeply connected to their environment, their nervous system, and the rhythm of their daily lives.

Many families I work with are not doing anything wrong. Often life is simply very full — fast, loud, and demanding. Both children and caregivers are trying to keep up. My approach is relational, grounded and attentive. This is not about fixing you or giving rigid advice, it's about making space to think, feel, and find your way forward with more clarity and support.

Instead of focusing only on behavior or parenting strategies, I look at the home itself — the flow of the day, transitions, sensory environments, and the conditions that support regulation and connection.

I come to this work as a parent, teacher, and someone who has rebuilt their life from the ground up. As someone who has made mistakes, and someone who is still learning. I understand how layered and real this work is.

My name is Mars,

and I am the human behind Willowhuis.

What I found through the years is a deep understanding that home is not only a place, it is somewhere we learn to feel belonging in our bodies.
